Angela Newton
Registered Psychologist
Angela is a Registered Psychologist who is experienced in assisting individuals across the life-span with a wide range of concerns. Angela takes a particular interest in assisting children, teens and young adults with a variety of social and emotional concerns, adjustment difficulties, trauma, or navigating life as a neurodiverse person. She is passionate about supporting young people, and empowering them to reach their full mental, physical, social and emotional potential.
Angela provides individual and family therapy, and also delivers a range of group-based programs, both online and in-person. She prefers to use an integrated therapeutic approach, to flexibly tailor her treatment to the needs and presentation of each individual client. Angela implements skills and strategies from within Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Circle of Security, and Solution-Focused Therapy frameworks, and has completed additional training in trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and culturally-sensitive practices.
