Meaghan Poulton
Registered Psychologist
Meaghan has over 20 years’ experience as a Registered Psychologist, is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society, and has recently completed a Masters of Applied Social Science in Counselling. She has worked in acute and community mental health teams, general hospitals and counseling services across South East Queensland. She has special interests in health psychology and working with people who have physical and/or mental health issues, older people and carers.
She is enthusiastic about psychology and presents at conferences, delivers professional workshops, guides research, supervises psychology interns, and teaches courses in undergraduate and postgraduate degrees for counsellors and psychologists. Meaghan works primarily with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy. Meaghan has had a breadth of professional and life experiences which enables her to empathise with the struggles of her clients, to care about what is important to them and the skills to help them lighten their load.
